Situated in the foothills of the Klein Drakensberg, Hoedspruit is a major town in the Limpopo province of South Africa. This town in the valley of Olifants enjoys the proximity of Krugger National Park, big 5 game lodges and some private nature reserves. The tourists should start their trip with a visit to Mafunyani Cultural Village that help you understand traditional Tsonga-Shangaan life. The village showcases all the aspects of a tribal village that includes polygamy and bush school. Those with love for art and culture should visit Mapusha Weavers Cooperative which is situated on the outer part of Acornhoek Township. The cooperative was founded in 1973 with an aim to arm women with a craft so that they can bring supplementary income to home. But no mention of the city will be said to be complete unless we talk about its game reserve. Off course Krugger and its Big 5 could be its greatest draw cards but there are other reserves too which are worth mentioning. The travellers can embark on a horse safari or explore some private game reserves in vicinity. The town is also home to some good shopping malls that can be visited for shopping.
