Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, is big, buzzing and full of business activities. The vast stretch of greenery that adorns city seems to be countering pollution and ill effects of modernisation. The centre caters to injured and orphaned animals. Kamuzu Mausoleum is another attraction that should be in your wish list. This final resting place of the Malawi’s president looks impressive with a large portrait of him at the entrance. A library and research centre is also part of it. Auction Holding Warehouse of Malawi should be visited for its stunning architecture. But you can’t get a hold of Lilongwe’s day to day life unless you visit its markets. The markets of Old Town are also visited by those who don’t have an intention to buy. The city is connected to major world cities though airlines so getting there won’t pose a problem.
