Every month or even every day one big or small festival is being celebrated in different parts of the world. Here we give most colorful festivals in the world.

The Barranquilla Carnival

The Barranquilla Carnival of Barranquilla is one of the most sought after festivals in Colombia. The festival has been recognized by the UNESCO as a world masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Celebrated over four days, the festival is celebrated with several events that include merriment, dance, music and entertainment. The festival is a fine fusion of European, African, and Indian cultures. The 84th street Parade” and “The Funeral of Joselito Carnaval are top attractions of the festival.

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival

One of the most exciting festivals in Spain ,The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival brings to participants fifteen days of joy, excitement, and off course, colors.  The festival is also popular with foreigners who are seen booking flights to Spain to take part into this festival.  Local girls in their beautiful attires also take part into the festivals and one of them is elected as carnival queen.  Popular bands and artists also give performance.

Chinese New Year

One of the most prominent festivals in China “The Chinese New Year” is celebrated every year with much fanfare. The celebration that starts on the New Year’s Eve continues till the Lantern festival on the 15th day of the first month.  So it is called the longest festival in the Chinese New Year.  A large number of Chinese people living abroad fly back to their country to celebrate this festival.

Holi the festival of colors is celebrated with much fanfare in most parts of India. In capital Delhi the people walk the streets with colors and water filled balloons. An air of fun prevails in the environment and children are not behind jumping onto the bandwagon. Not only cities but in villages too the celebrations are held with much fun and enthusiasm.
