Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning province in China, is one of the most important cities in the northeast region. Shenyang Mukden Palace
Mukden Palace is one of the most important tourist attractions in Shenyang. The palace served as the residence of the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) emperors before the capital was shifted to Beijing. Built in 1625 the palace has served the first three Qing emperors and has now been converted into a museum with 300 Manchu-style buildings and more than 10,000 relics. The palace has been listed as the UNESCO World Heritage site.
Three Mausoleums of Shengjing
The Three Mausoleums of Shengjing include the Fuling, Zhaoling and Yongling Mausoleums. The site belongs to the three royal mausoleums of the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The museum has been listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2004.
Shenyang Botanical Garden
For those looking for green spaces in the capital of Liaoning province, Shenyang Botanical Garden is situated on the outskirts of city. The garden has also hosted the International Horticultural Exposition 2006, one of the largest expositions in the country. Spread over an area of 246 hectares, the garden is home to several species of plants that include azaleas and tulips. Besides, the garden hosts a number of themed flower exhibitions year round. A visit to this garden gives you a breather from the hustle – bustle of the city life.

The mansion is the dwelling place of Zhuang Zuolin (chief of the Fengtian-faction Warlords) and his son Zhang Xueliang (a statesman of great achievements). The mansion now serves as the museum.
