Laidback, culture rich, history laden and decked with a spectacular coastline, Portugal is highly popular among vacationers across the ages. Great food, glittering shopping hubs and friendly locals further accentuates travellers’ experience. Its countryside is no less and during the visit you will come across whitewashed villages. The country offers a diverse range of attractions and activities to cater travellers with varying whim and inclination. Lisbon

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, has metamorphosed in recent few decades. The city has embraced a modern culture which is at par with European standards. Situated along the Atlantic Oceans, the Portuguese capital has all the characteristics of European capitals minus chaos. The city has a multifaceted character which you will experience during your visit to the city. During your visit to the old neighbourhoods of the city you will come across pastel colour houses that date back to the Moorish times. Some of the houses come with miradouros (vantage points) that offers commanding view of the river and beautiful surroundings. Porto

Situated along the river Douro and the Atlantic Ocean, Porto the second largest city and the capital of Portugal, is well known for its commercial and business significance. But being known for the commercial significance doesn’t mean that it is any less in terms of tourism potentials. The city has a host of tourist attractions to keep travellers engaged during their stay in the city. Most of these tourist attractions are situated in City Centre. Mercado do Bolhão which is a traditional market selling fruits, vegetables, fish and meat is also home to some fine dining restaurants. Livraria Lello, an old bookshop with interesting interior and spiral staircase, is also worth visiting. Torre dos Clerigos which is one of the major landmarks offer commanding view of the city from its top. Museum of Sacred Art and Archaeology of The Higher Seminary of Oporto in São Nicolau is also one of the major draw cards for art lovers in the city.

Funchal

The capital of Madeira province of Portugal is an excellent tourism destination and hub for many a beautiful destination in vicinity. The city has a large number of hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars to keep travellers to keep you engaged during their visit to the city. In addition, it has a large number of tourist attractions that include Jardins Do Palheiro, Madeira Botanical Gardens, Monte Palace Hotel Gardens, Santa Clara Convent, São Lourenço Palace and Sé Cathedral.
