Orlando conjures up the images of theme parks but the city has more to offer. The city that receives around 52 million visitors a year never sits on its laurels and is continuously on rise. And it appears new every time. The city that houses 7 of 10 theme parks in the world is not a mean destination. Orlando may be popular worldwide for its theme parks and beaches but it has more to offer than its obvious draw cards. Its great outdoors allows to swim, canoe, hike, horseback ride and camp at various locations. In a nutshell, Orlando is an ideal vacations place that caters tourists with varying age and inclinations. Apart from the leisure travellers the number of business travellers landing in city is no less given its business options.
The city keeps holding fairs and exhibitions round the year. The Orange County convention Center of the city considered one of the largest convention centres in the city. You can visit the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Orlando Ballet and Orlando Repertory Theatre where you can see several cultural performances. If kids are part of your entourage then don’t forget to take them to Walt Disney World. Empire of the Penguin enables travellers to have a peek into a penguin colony. In addition to this, there are a large number of theme parks to cater travellers with every taste.
The museums lovers also have very good opportunity while visiting Orlando given its large number of museums. Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art should be part your itinerary where you can see vast collection of art works of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Cornell Fine Arts Museum should be your next destination where you can go to see Cornell's renowned permanent collection. The art lovers should also visit The Orlando Museum of Art where large collections of art works from ancient Americas are on display. Family vacationers should take their children to the Orlando Science Center where they can learn from hundreds of interactive exhibits.
