Krakow showcases history and culture of Poland in a beautiful manner. This home to historical and cultural attractions has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage site. Wawel Castle

Wawel Castle which has been hub of political and cultural activities during the medieval period is a symbol of national identity. The building was built during 11th century by King Boleslaw Chrobry . Later Kazimierz III Wielki converted it into a huge Gothic castle. The castle was destroyed into a fire and later rebuilt.

Galicia Jewish Museum

Rynek Glówny (Market Square)

St. Mary's Basilica

Situated on the eastern corner of Rynek Glówny, St. Mary's Basilica was built in the 13th century. The Basilica was destroyed by the Tartars and later rebuilt in the 14th century. The Basilica consists of two towers of unequal heights. An array of panels showcases biblical scenes like the Ascension of Christ.

Wawel Cathedral

Wawel Cathedral is one of the must visit attractions in Krakow. The major highlight of this museum is burial chamber and tombs of famous historical personalities of Polish history. Most of the monarchs of polish history are buried here. The cathedral is highly popular among history buffs.
