Goiania

Goiania neither has political importance of Brasilia nor has the glamorous appeal of Sao Paulo still this mid-sized city in brazil receives a large number of Brazilian and international travellers. One of the many planned cities in Brazil: Goiania, the capital of Goias, was founded in 1933 by Pedro Ludovico Teixeira. The city is made in art deco style and its architectural plan was designed by Atílio Correia. On their arrival to the city, the guests will be amazed to see well manicured parks, tree lined avenues and buildings built around circular streets. People looking for a tranquil vacation often fly to Goiania.

Caldas Novas

Synonymous to its popular hot springs, Caldas Novas is a popular city in Brazilian state of Goias that attracts travellers round the year. With several resort the town is ideal for a tranquil vacation. And perhaps it is why the city’s population swells during the season. The biggest draw card for the city is its non connectivity to the international flights. However the resort town has an airstrip where charter flights can land.

Goias

The former capital of Brazilian state of same name has a small population of 27,000 but that doesn’t mean that the city lacks in importance. Also known as Goias Velho, it has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. The city can be broadly divided into two parts - historic and newly developed. Most of the tourist attractions are situated in the old parts. To reach this city, the travellers should first fly to Brasilia from where it is situated at a short drive.

Cavalcante

With a population of around 10,000 Cavalcante is a small city in the state of Goia and attracts travellers looking for a tranquil vacation. Situated on the north side of the national park Chapada dos Veadeiros the area is a hub of adventure with hiking trails and waterfalls. Cavalcante is home to the the Kalunga Historical Site, where descendents of slaves, called Kalunga, are still living with little contact with modern world.
