One of the major ingredients of ABC islands in Caribbean, Curacao offers a fine amalgamation of history, culture and business. The island receives many an eyeball with spectacular beaches, several points of interests and a zest for life. Situated out of so called hurricane zone in Caribbean Sea, the island is a hot favourite among water sports lovers due to the presence of several outstanding diving sites. Scuba Diving
Curacao has several attractions and activities to explore but nothing appeal to tourists like scuba diving. Beaches
With a Caribbean coastline Curacao is blessed with some of the most spectacular beaches of the region and Cas Abao beach is prominent among them. The beach is popular among tourists and locals alike. Every year thousands of travellers come to this white sandy beach flanked with cliffs and lush greenery to spend some quality moments under the palm umbrella. The beach is considered ideal for snorkelling. If you are tired of swimming and looking for some healing touch you needn’t go further you can get fully body massage right on the beach. There are several restaurants and bars in the vicinity to make your stay an interesting affair.
Mambo Beach is another popular beach in Curacao. This manmade beach is a tourist favourite with white sand and crystal clear waters. There is a volleyball court right on the beach where you can play sand volleyball.
Kura Hulanda Museum
Built on the site of mercantile square for slave Kura Hulanda Museum gives a valuable insight into the history of slave trade in Curacao. And the museum acquaints you with various aspects of slave trade through 18th-century artefacts and scale models. Apart from various artefacts related to the trans-Atlantic slave trade, the museum also has collections of pre-Columbian gold, Mesopotamian relics and Antillean art.
Christoffel National Park
The park came into existence in 1978 with merger of three plantations near the northwest tip. During your visit to the park you will come across several interesting flora and fauna. Barn owls, the rare and endangered Curaçao White Tailed deer, wild orchids and some 450 species of plants are here to welcome travellers. Just walk through the park with scenic beauty or hike Christoffel Mountain every experience is exemplary in its own right. Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, Handelskade, Playa Lagun, Riffort Village and Blauwbaai are other popular draw cards you must explore during your visit to Curacao.
