ARKEN Museum of Modern Art

Situated in Ishoj South of Copenhagen, Arken museum of modern art is a fine place to see the works of modern artists. Here you can see artworks from young talent to modern artists. Its magnificent building is situated on Køge Bay Beach. The museum has a large number of works ranging from young talents to established artists. Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art

Travellers with love in art and architecture should never miss a visit to Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art. The place is considered one of the most important venues in Copenhagen and has a great love for tradition. The museum was founded by artists in 1898 and artists still have a say in exhibition. In recent years, the museum has seen expansion.

The Hirschsprung Collection

Hirschsprung is one of the museums of a kind. The museum showcases a fine collection of Danish art from the 19th and early 20th centuries, showcasing the work of the Danish Golden Age to the Skagen painters. The museum also houses art works of the noted masters that include Eckersberg, Købke, Krøyer and Hammershøi, the Hirschsprung.

Thorvaldsen's Museum

One of the major sculptors of its time Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen spent most part of his life in Rome but in 1838 he donated his large collection to his home city and this museum is a fine place to see his work. The impressive building of the museums was built 1839-1848 under the guidance of the Danish Architect M.B. Bindesbøll and it is one of the most impressive buildings in Copenhagen.
