Air Canada, the flag carrier of Canada, which has continuously been expanding its operations out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR), has announced to operate Vancouver - Dublin seasonal flights this summer.

The new and the only non-stop service will connect Vancouver to Dublin from June 10, 2016. Air Canada rouge, Air Canada’s leisure wing, will operate these flights three times a week using a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

The route would be highly beneficial for Western Canadians travelling to visit the Ireland and explore its rich literary history, arts, world-class golf and dramatic landscapes. On the other hand, the route would be equally useful for customers from Ireland flying non-stop to visit and experience the spectacular attractions Vancouver and British Columbia offers.

The route is being launched after Tourism Ireland revealed an increased interest in Ireland by Canadian travellers.

With the increase in service, the airline plans to grow its presence at Vancouver airport as a strategic and important international connecting B.C. and Western Canada with United States and South Pacific, Asia and Europe.

The increased service will help meet the high demand for flights to Europe during the busy summer season.
