Air Canada to launch direct flight from Dublin to Vancouver

Air Canada Rouge has announced to launch direct flights between Dublin and Vancouver from June next year.
The leisure wing of Air Canada will operates this route three times a week. It would be the first direct service to the west coast of Canada from Dublin airport. The airline has been operating a Dublin-Toronto service since May 2004.
A senior official from the airline said that more than 30,000 people currently fly on this route on indirect air services and they are sure that the number will increase with launch of direct flights.
He further said that passenger numbers has grown dramatically between Ireland and Canada in recent years and the airline expect that this route will be well received by the travellers.
Air Canada rouge’s new Vancouver service will be one of the four new transatlantic routes to be launched from Dublin Airport in 2016.
