Aer Lingus has launched daytime service on Dublin - NY route. The inaugural flights took off from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport at 12 noon local time on Monday and landed at Dublin Airport at 23:40 pm same evening. The return flight departs Dublin at 07:50am and arrives into JFK at 10:20 am local time.
With this launch, the airline will be operating up to four daily flights to Ireland; three daily flights to Dublin and six flights per week to Shannon.
With re-launch of its business class service, the airline has opened a new business lounge at John F. Kennedy airport for its Business Class customers and Gold Circle members. The travellers would have some moments of tranquillity within a busy terminal. The lounge is also equipped with a business centre with complimentary Wi-Fi and a pre-flight dining service where they can have some assorted Irish cuisine. A new Arrivals lounge, named ‘Revival Lounge’, has also been added at Dublin airport so that Aer Lingus business guests from North America can freshen up before leaving the airport premises.
With this launch the long haul capacity has increased by 18.4% per week in the peak summer. Previously, the carrier added Washington-Dulles to Dublin and Orlando to Dublin service in May.
The route is expected to be well received by business and leisure travellers.
