American Airlines boosts London - Charlotte route
By Carlton Leisure - 30 Jun 2014
American Airlines has announced to launch a second daily flight on London Heathrow - Charlotte route from September 13.
The airline will operate this route using an Airbus A330-200, a widebody jet that offers 20 business class and 238 economy class seats.
Previously this month, American Airlines acquired an additional slot at Heathrow from Cyprus Airways.
The soon to be launched flights will be in addition to airlines’ existing daily Charlotte-Heathrow service which the airline operates using an A330-300. Previously the airlines shifted its daily flight from London’s Gatwick Airport to the more popular Heathrow in 2013.
With the launch of these flights leisure and business travellers flying on this route would have wider options. The additional flights will also boost airlines’ capacity on this busy route.
