Flynas, the low-cost carried based in Saudi Arabia has successfully launched its inaugural non-stop flights from King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah to Manchester Airport which is its second destination in the UK. XY 25 arrived at 08:45 am and was greeted with a traditional water canon salute on touchdown. Passengers on board the inaugural flight were welcomed at the gate with a cake cutting ceremony. The departure flight XY 26 was due to return from Manchester to Jeddah at 10:15 am.

According to Flynas CEO Raja Azmi, it is incredibly satisfying to see Global Flights Routes programme to take off successfully. The start of airlines’ non-stop operations to Manchester bring a strong offering for the customers to key European destinations and offer travellers access to an important Northern European travel hub. In the words of Stephen Turner, Aviation Commercial Director at Manchester Airports Group (MAG), the airport is delighted to welcome flynas to Manchester for the first time and is keen to support their continuing growth from the UK. This route will support better trade links between two countries and flynas will help to increase those levels.

The long-haul flights are being operated using Airbus A330 aircraft, part of a major fleet investment for flynas. The aircraft are set up on a two-cabin configuration which includes a new 12- seat business class cabin equipped with reclinable flat-bed. Passengers in both economy and business class are given generous luggage allowance and can have access to smart in-flight entertainment and other onboard services.
