British Airways resumes London-Kuala Lumpur flights
By Carlton Leisure - 18 Sep 2014
British Airways has announced to resume direct flight on London-Kuala Lumpur route from May 27, 2015. Previously the route was suspended in 2011 after global travel slowed down following 9/11 bombing in New York.
A top placed official from the airline said that the carrier was trying to resume connectivity to Malaysia for a long time. He said that starting a new route is a big investment and the carrier will not do it without considering its prospects.
He further said that this region is very important to airline in terms of increasing traffic volume.
BA is the lone carrier that offers premium economy seating between London and Kuala Lumpur.
The carrier will operate this route using four-cabin Boeing 777-200ER.
The resumption of BA flights will increase business and tourism ties between both countries.
