With this service to Reykjavik, the airline will be able to provide connections to the airline’s 16 destinations in North America and Canada that include New York, Orlando, Seattle, Toronto, and soon to be launched Chicago and Montreal.
A top placed official from Icelandair expressed pleasure on this launch saying they see great opportunities in connecting this market to our route network of North American destinations. He said that with this launch the travel time will be reduced significantly and customers will appreciate the easy connections through airline’s hub in Iceland.
The Aberdeen-Reykjavik route will be operated by Air Iceland, a subsidiary of Icelandair Group. The airline will operate this route using a Bombardier Q400 with 72 seats in two class configuration - Economy and Economy Comfort.
