Monarch launches Birmingham to Lisbon and Madrid flights

Adding more travel options for passengers flying from Birmingham Airport, Monarch Airline has launched two new routes to Lisbon.

The passengers were welcomed by cabin crew with a celebratory glass of fizz and a cupcake.

Senior officials from Monarch and Birmingham Airport were at check-in desk at Birmingham Airport to celebrate the launch of the new routes to Lisbon and Madrid.

Officials from the airline said that they are happy to launch new routes from Birmingham. With this launch Monarch has become the only UK carrier offering direct flights between Birmingham and Lisbon. Now passengers have more options to choose in terms of business as well leisure destinations.

A top official from the airport also expressed happiness on this development, saying, Monarch is its reputed and old ally and adding two new capital cities to its network has increased flying option for the passengers.

The carrier will operate Lisbon service four times a week and Madrid service three times a week.
