Easyjet to open base in Porto, Portugal

Easyjet, a leading airline in the UK, has announced to set up its second base in Portugal at Francisco de Sá Carneiro airport, Porto in spring 2015. As per announcement, two A320 aircraft will be stationed in Porto to enhance connections across Europe.
The proposed base will be airline’s 25th base in its European network and second in Portugal.
The airline has been operating flights to Portugal since 1999 and previously opened a base at Lisbon Portela airport in 2012.
The officials from the airline have expressed pleasure on opening a base in Porto and said that the new base will connect the North of Portugal with Europe. The opening of new base in Porto will boost tourism and economy of the region.
Easyjet offers flights to Lisbon Portela, Funchal, Porto and Faro in Portugal. Services to Porto were launched in 2007.
