Etihad Airways unveiled not one, but three Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft at London Heathrow’s Terminal 4. Chris Robshaw, the captain of England and Harlequins rugby team also joined the celebrations. The eye-catching structure uniquely features an array of three huge 9.5 meter long models of Boeing 787 aircraft located on the 28 meter by 31 meter roundabout on the approach to Terminal 4. The three model aircraft in full Etihad Airways livery, each weighing 1.4 tones, with a wing span of 10 meter will be seen by more than 6.6 million people every year as they drive past the roundabout.

In the words of James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer, Heathrow is one of the Etihad Airway’s most popular destination and the airline is delighted to use one of the most prominent and well-known locations at the airport to promote the Boeing 787 aircraft the delivery of which the airline will take later this year. The Etihad roundabout has been unveiled as the airline celebrates its tenth anniversary of services from London Heathrow which is its first destination outside the Middle East Region. Since 2004 more than two million passengers have flown between Heathrow and Abu Dhabi.

According to Chris Robshaw, it is great to see three Boeing 787 Dreamliners and it is nice to take part in these celebrations. Etihad Airways is the largest airline customer for the Boeing 787 with 71 of the aircraft on order. Etihad Airways currently operates three flights a day from Heathrow as well as twice daily service from Manchester to Abu Dhabi where passengers can connect to its network of destinations in Africa, Middle East and Asia.
