British Airways has announced to increase the number of flights between London and Salzburg in the coming winter.
The airline will operate a daily flight between Salzburg and London's Gatwick airport from the end of October.
From the mid December, as the winter season picks up, the number of flights between Salzburg and London will be increased to nine. The airline will run a daily flight during the week and there will be two flights on both Saturdays and Sundays.
New winter sports resorts have attracted a large number of visitors to Salzburg and the airline hopes that the number of holidaymakers to Salzburg from Great Britain will increase in the coming winter.
Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria known for its baroque architecture. Its “Old Town” has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Salzburg Festival and the winter sport are other major attractions for the tourists.
