Flybe adds more routes from London City Airport

Regional carrier Flybe has launched new services from Aberdeen, Inverness and Edinburgh to London City Airport allowing passengers to fly into the heart of London’s financial district.
The services were launched in a ceremony at London City Airport and attended by Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond, and Chief Secretary to the Treasury and MP for Inverness, Danny Alexander.
The carrier said that it will operate twice daily flights from Aberdeen and Inverness and up to four flights a day from Edinburgh. Its aircraft will be based at its regional bases. The airline expects to carry up to 500,000 passengers annually.
Apart from London City routes, the carrier has also launched its Flybe ShuttleTM service between Aberdeen and Jersey with stops at Southampton and Leeds Bradford on the way.
The launch of new routes will provide a boost to tourism making it easy for travellers to reach these cities.
