Icelandair the main airline of Iceland, headquartered at Reykjavik, has launched its latest route to North America with a new twice-weekly service to Vancouver, connecting Glasgow to the Canadian city. Icelandair’s new service to Vancouver will complement the airlines ever growing presence in Canada where it already operates routes to Toronto, Edmonton, & Halifax and is extremely popular with Scottish passengers visiting the friends and family in British Colombia.

For those looking for a truly unique experience, when flying from Glasgow to the United States or Canada with Icelandair can enjoy stopover in Iceland for up to7 nights. Iceland is located right on the flight path between Europe and North America making it an ideal destination for a stopover, unlike London.

Icelandair have been flying to Glasgow since 1946 making it Scotland’s longest serving international airline and its commitment and loyalty to Glasgow and Scotland has been well recognized.

Along with this new service connection to Canada’s West Coast, Air Transat continues to operate Scotland’s only direct, non-stop flights to Vancouver every Wednesday from Glasgow International Airport.
