British Airways has announced to operate 18 weekly flights from London City Airport (LCY) to Geneva from September. With this launch BA’s frequency on this route will get more then tripled.

The carrier will operate three times daily on London City – Geneva route on weekdays, once on Saturdays and twice on Sundays  starting from 6 September. The route which was operated five times a week during winters will now be operated year round.

An official from BA at LCY said that Geneva has traditionally been a leisure route for BA from London City but airline is boosting services to meet the demands from its customers to launch a year-round business schedule connecting these two commercial hubs in Europe.

The increased frequency on this route is expected to be well received by leisure and business travellers.
