Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of Turkey, has announced to increase travel options for travellers flying between Edinburgh and Istanbul. Now the carrier will be operating 10 flights a week from March 27.

The carrier will be adding a second daily flight from Edinburgh thrice a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

A top official from the airline expressed pleasure on this development saying he is wholeheartedly welcoming the confidence that Turkish Airlines has shown in Edinburgh Airport. He further said that Edinburgh Airport and Turkish Airlines complement each other and have grown together and the increased frequency between Scotland and Istanbul has given business and leisure passengers options.

Turkish Airlines’ increased flights to Istanbul will also enable Scottish passengers to board onward connections from Istanbul.

Situated on the crossroad of Asia and Europe, Istanbul is a travellers’ delight with countless attractions and a unique culture.
