Germanwings launches Newcastle - Dusseldorf service

There is an addition to the number of flights from Newcastle International Airport as Germanwings, part of the Lufthansa Group, has begun its Newcastle to Dusseldorf service.

The airline operated its first flight from Newcastle on 18 September after taking over the service from Lufthansa.

The airline will operate the route daily except Saturday with its unique style of service.

A senior airport official has expressed pleasure on arrival of Germanwings at Newcastle International Airport offering flyers more options to reach Germany from Newcastle.

The service is expected to be well received by business as well as leisure travellers. As Dusseldorf Airport is well connected to the German railway system the flights could be of great use for travellers willing to explore Germany.

Germanwings, a low cost carrier, offers flights to 86 destinations with a fleet of 76.
