Flybe launches Cardiff - Dusseldorf route

Flybe , a low cost carrier, has launched a direct route from Cardiff Airport to Düsseldorf.

Previously, airline had announced to launch its 12-route network from its soon to open base at Cardiff Airport with its two 118-seat Embraer 195 jet aircraft on June 1. The launched route is first among them.

The opening of base will result in increase in capacity and frequency on existing flights as well as eight additional routes to Glasgow, Faro, Milan and Paris Charles de Gaulle.

A top placed official from the airline said that the airline is delighted to celebrate its presence at Cardiff with inaugural flights to Dusseldorf.

The airline expects that proposed routes too will be welcomed by leisure and business passengers when they start in June.

An official from Cardiff Airport said that Düsseldorf is an important business and leisure destination and also a jumping off point for other beautiful parts of Germany.
