Ethiopian Airlines moves its European hub to Dublin

Those flying from Dublin Airport have a reason to cheer as Ethiopian Airlines is moving is moving its hub here from next month. The airline issued a statement of this effect from next month.
The flag carrier of Ethiopia has already announced its plan to link Addis Ababa to Los Angeles through the Irish capital in June. With this launch, the passengers from Dublin can fly direct to Los Angeles.
The airline has inked a deal with the government that allows it to pick up passengers at Dublin on both the outward and return legs on its Addis Ababa-to-Los Angeles service.
An official from the airline said that Ethiopian will move its European hub there from May 10th.
The carrier will operate 10 flights a-week to Washington DC and Toronto through Dublin, where flights will stop for refuelling.
Contrary to Los Angeles service, these flights won’t enjoy “fifth freedom” rights that allows it to pick up passengers in Dublin.
An official from the airline who is in charge of Irish area said, that the airline is already seeing the demand for its Dublin-Los Angeles and Addis Ababa flights.
