BA to launch Heathrow – Innsbruck service

London based travelers will now have more flying options to the Austrian city of Innsbruck as British Airways will be operating services to this city from Heathrow from 4th December 2016. The carrier is already operating services to the Tyrolean capital from Gatwick.
British flag carrier will operate this route four-times-a-week during winter and twice-weekly during the summer.
An official from the airline said that they have launched 15 new routes already this year and now it is time to focus on the ski season.
The route is popular among skiers as it offers world class skiing experience with at its great slopes. The city is home to some of the most fabulous resorts in Europe that include Niederau, Mayrhofen and Alpbach.
As LHR- Innsbruck flights are being launched around Christmas it is expected to be also well received by non-skiing travelers. The carrier will operate this flight using A320 aircraft in two-class configuration.
Previous this year, the airline launched services to Palermo, Biarritz, Kalamata and San Jose in California from Heathrow. Services to San Jose in Costa Rica, Lima and JFK were introduced from Gatwick.
