KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to launch Inverness - Amsterdam service

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced to add a daily service between Inverness and Amsterdam as part of its 2016 summer schedule.

The route that will start from May 17 will provide a good number of connections from Scotland to KLM's worldwide network of more than 150 destinations that include Montreal, Beijing and Hong Kong.

The carriers will operate this route using an 80-seat KLM Cityhopper jet aircraft.

The carrier is already flying from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen airports. In a statement, the airline said that the decision to launch this service was taken keeping in view a “strong business case put forward” by airport operator Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL).

A senior official from HIAL said that they are delighted to welcome KLM to Inverness Airport.

The soon to be launched service will provide travellers more options to passengers.

With a global network of more than 150 destinations, arrival of KLM will ensures local businesses better connectivity to major markets across the globe.
