Gambia Bird to resume flights to Sierra Leone

Gambia Bird, the flag carrier of Gambia, has announced to resume services on London – Sierra Leone route later this month.
Previously, Gambia Bird and several other airlines suspended flights to the region affected by the deadly Ebola virus.
On the other hand, airlines like Brussels Airlines and Royal Air Maroc, continue to operate flights to this region.
Westminster Group, the agency that provides security at the Sierra Leone airport has revealed that the Gambia Bird service on this route will be resumed from October 17. The airline will operate twice weekly flights on this route.
A top placed official from the airline said that the Ebola outbreak is tragic for the countries and with extensive international support and the great efforts of the local governments, the outbreak will be controlled and situation can return to normal in coming days.
