British Airways to launch flights from Gatwick to Sharm El Sheikh

Passengers flying from Gatwick to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt will soon have improved flying options as British Airways has plans to launch flights on this route from September 2015.

Initially the airline will launch twice weekly flights on this route which will be increased to three during the winter months in order to provide more options and flexible flying timings to passengers.

Previously the airline announced to start services from Gatwick to Seville in Spain, Las Palmas in Gran Canaria and Funchal in Madeira.

As Sharm El Sheikh is only five hours away from Gatwick, the destination will attract families and other vacationers. It is already popular with divers due to its crystal clear waters.

The carrier will operate this route with a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft from Gatwick.
