Movie buffs have a reason to be ecstatic as Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) will offer 250 screenings at this 10 day long film festival. The films include 69 feature films, 60 documentaries, 57 short films and 19 surf films, which will be screened at nine venues across the city.
Over 10 days, from 17-27 July 2014, the movie buffs will see a number of films from different genres. Screenings will take place at 9 venues across the city. There will be also a seminar where experts will share their knowledge and skills about the film industry.
The organisers have expressed pleasure on growing South African content in terms of quality as well as quantity. This year 78 films will be screened in this festival. A large part of South African content is based on 20 years of freedom and democracy programme.
The festival expects arrival of movie buffs from different corners of the world. The UK based film enthusiasts can easily get there as direct flights to Durban are available from London.
