- Santa Barbara Castle - Perched on top of Mount Benacantil at a height of 166 meters, Santa Barbara is Spain’s largest mediaeval fortresses that provides picture perfect views of Alicante’s Bay. It has three different enclosures from three distinct periods. The upper enclosure, “La Torreta” is where visitors will find the ancient remains of fortress, dated back to 14th century. - The San Nicolás Cathedral - This is a cathedral seat of diocese of Orihuela-Alicante. It was built between 1616 and 1662 in Sombre Herrerian renaissance style and is one of the most symbolic buildings in the heart of city.
